MHCR’s goal is to help with peacebuilding and reconciliation around the entire world and we have made a concerted effort to be at the forefront of these processes. These efforts include:

  • MHCR and partners piloted their first "Regional Learning Hub" to bring inside reconcilers and regional experts together for peer-support to advance reconciliation in Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya and South Sudan.

  • MHCR worked with the Al Amana Centre in Oman to co-facilitate a spiritual reconciler's retreat. Reconcilers such as Mpho Tutu, Agnes Aboum from World Council of Churches and Norman Hayes, retired U.S. Admiral participated in this retreat.

  • In October 2019, MHCR partnered with Inclusive Peace and USIP to bring leading practitioners, scholars, government agencies, universities, and NGOs for a workshop on “Improving the Impact of Reconciliation”
